The JIMARS Umang Centre offers a comprehensive and integrated approach to the care and management of children with disabilities. With a focus on cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, and other neurological, neuromotor, and sensory impairments, including speech and hearing challenges, Umang Centre addresses a wide spectrum of needs. Children with other developmental anomalies are also assessed, and individualized interventions are thoughtfully provided.
The JIMARS Umang Centre strives to enable child to achieve their fullest potential through a multidisciplinary framework that combines medical, educational, and therapeutic support. The centre adopts a holistic methodology, ensuring a nurturing environment that supports not only the child but also their families. The centre strives to enhance inclusion, creativity, and joy through recreational activities and cultural programs. Each initiative is designed to empower children and their families, build community and an inclusive society where every child can thrive.

Presently, JIMARS conducts nationally certified courses of Rehabilitation council, under the ministry of social justice and empowerment, Government of India. They are university courses of national institute of empowerment of person with disability of the ministry at chennai.
The JIMARS teaching and training centre include- lecture theatres, demonstration rooms and library ICT lab, computer training centre, audiotorium, with projection facilitites, faculty staff rooms, with toiltes, student play area and patient facility.
